Host Information

Host name, business name, contact details, address, property details, property documents, ownership/authorisation information, GST details, PAN details, bank details, payout details, KYC documents, listing photos/videos, house rules, and operational details.

Payment Information

We may receive payment status, transaction ID, refund status, payment method type, and gateway response details. Full card, UPI, or banking credentials are usually processed by the payment gateway and are not stored by ChooseMyStay unless expressly permitted and required.

Location Information

We may collect approximate search location, property location, map coordinates, and device/location data where you permit it. Exact property address may be shared with confirmed guests after booking confirmation.

Communication Information

Messages, emails, WhatsApp messages, call notes, support tickets, complaints, host confirmations, guest requests, and operational communication.

Technical Information

IP address, device information, browser type, app version, operating system, cookies, log data, crash reports, analytics data, and usage behaviour.

• How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

create and manage user accounts; process booking requests and confirmed bookings; verify guests, hosts, listings, payments, and property details; communicate booking confirmations, payment updates, invoices, refunds, check-in instructions, and support updates; enable host onboarding, listing management, payouts, settlements, and compliance checks; show relevant stays, search results, recommendations, and platform content; detect fraud, spam, abuse, payment risk, duplicate accounts, and policy violations; improve platform performance, safety, customer support, and user experience; comply with tax, accounting, legal, law enforcement, and regulatory requirements; send service updates and, where permitted, promotional communication. 3. Legal Basis and Consent

We process personal information for lawful purposes, including providing requested services, performing booking-related obligations, complying with legal requirements, preventing fraud, improving platform safety, and based on consent where required.

For confirmed or pending bookings, we may share guest name, contact details, booking dates, guest count, special requests, payment confirmation status, and other details required to deliver the stay.

Guests

For confirmed bookings, we may share host/property contact details, exact address, check-in instructions, house rules, and emergency details.

Payment and Banking Partners

Payment gateways, banks, UPI providers, refund processors, payout providers, and fraud-prevention systems.

Service Providers

Cloud hosting providers, SMS/email/WhatsApp providers, analytics tools, customer support tools, map providers, storage providers, accountants, auditors, legal consultants, and technology vendors.

Government or Legal Authorities

Where required by law, court order, tax process, police request, safety issue, fraud investigation, or regulatory obligation.

Business Transfers

If ChooseMyStay or Kizhakeyil Technologies LLP undergoes restructuring, merger, acquisition, investment, asset transfer, or business transfer, relevant information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

• Host and Guest Privacy Responsibilities

Hosts must use guest information only for the relevant booking and must not misuse, sell, publish, or contact guests for unrelated purposes.

Guests must not misuse host contact details, exact property addresses, access instructions, or private property information.

We may use cookies, pixels, local storage, analytics SDKs, and similar technologies to keep users logged in, remember preferences, improve performance, detect fraud, measure traffic, understand usage, and improve marketing.

We may send promotional messages about stays, offers, platform updates, or host opportunities where permitted. You may opt out of marketing messages using unsubscribe options or by contacting us. Service-related messages such as booking confirmations, payment updates, invoices, safety notices, and refund updates may still be sent.
