ChooseMyStay Data Deletion Instructions
ChooseMyStay is a product operated by Kizhakeyil Technologies LLP. These instructions explain how users can request deletion or anonymization of account data associated with ChooseMyStay.
How to Request Data Deletion
To request deletion of your ChooseMyStay account data, email us from your registered email address at:
grievance@choosemystay.com
Please include:
- Your full name
- Your registered email address or phone number
- A short request such as: “Please delete my ChooseMyStay account data.”
- If applicable, mention whether the account was created or accessed using Facebook Login
What Happens After We Receive Your Request
After receiving your request, ChooseMyStay will verify that the request is made by the account owner.
Deletion requests are reviewed manually because booking records, payment records, invoices, tax records, accounting records, fraud-prevention logs, and legal compliance records may need to be retained under applicable law.
Where deletion is legally and operationally permitted, we will anonymize or remove personal profile and contact information from the active account record and deactivate the account.
Data We May Retain
We may retain records that are required for:
- Completed or pending bookings
- Payments, refunds, invoices, settlements, and accounting
- Tax, audit, legal, regulatory, or dispute-resolution obligations
- Fraud prevention, platform safety, and abuse prevention
- Records required to protect guests, hosts, ChooseMyStay, or third parties
Retained records will be handled according to the ChooseMyStay Privacy Policy.
Processing Time
We will review and respond to deletion requests within a reasonable period after verification. If we need more information to verify the request, we may contact you using your registered contact details.
